Often she was chained by indecision. A feeling that left the rudder in her brain spinning endlessly—wanting so much time to pass that every ounce of her scenery was unfamiliar, but also praying that time, quite clichely, stands still. There is something about the now that’s so mysterious, and we’re not meant to understand that. But for today, she knew she had to meet herself in the middle. Because so much about living is doing, but so much of doing takes courage to take that first step.
